Teaching

Teaching is one of my favourite parts of the job. Most of my courses fall under the broad umbrella of networked systems, but in reality they mix a bit of everything I care about: protocols, distributed systems, dependable software, and how all of these pieces behave once deployed in the wild. I try to keep classes practical, system-oriented, and grounded in real-world deployments. Below is an overview of the courses I currently teach. PROTIoT: IoT Communication Protocols

PROTIoT explores connectivity for the IoT world: LoRa, SigFox, LTE-M, NB-IoT, ZigBee, 6LoWPAN, Thread & more. Students learn how to design energy-efficient, long-range, scalable networks for massive IoT systems. Read more about this course here.

APPIoT: IoT Application Protocols

APPIoT dives into application-layer protocols for the Internet of Things: HTTP & CoAP, MQTT & XMPP, oneM2M, 3GPP IoT, and LwM2M. A hands-on journey into building efficient, interoperable IoT services for real deployments. Read more about this course here.
